COVID-19 Safety in Training

As the state continues to provide updated guidance and regulations for businesses during this pandemic, we are working diligently to ensure that our UKM members can train safely. As we continue moving forward know that we are taking many precautions to ensure the safety of our members and their families as well as the broader community. We will continue to be responsive to public health guidance and policy which may include adjusting our training methodology, class times, degree of contact, and more as needed to maintain everyone's safety.  Respectfully, we ask for your patience and understanding as we make changes as this is a very fluid situation and things can change quickly, as we've seen.

As a local business, we appreciate our members adhering to our safety guidelines so that we can remain open and offer the highest level of training.

We have elevated our cleaning schedule, sanitize and disinfect all equipment regularly.

In-person classes will be limited to 18 students per class.  Students must register online for in-person classes through their Member Portal.

COVID-19 Student Guidelines

Updated April 10, 2021

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend we all take sensible steps to protect ourselves and others. This is essential to slow the spread of any virus. We encourage our members to adhere to public health guidance including vaccination if possible. When participating in our martial arts instruction you acknowledge you are responsible for safeguarding yourself and the others in the gym and that there is inherent risk with training in-person.

  1. With the mask mandate expiration, we no longer require face masks/coverings however, we still highly encourage all members and guests to wear one when entering/exiting the gym and when not actively training. Members who would like to continue wearing a mask at all times are still encouraged and supported to do so. Guests/visitors are encouraged to continue wearing a mask at all times when in our gym.

  2. All personal and UKM equipment used must be disinfected after each class by students.

  3. All instructors and members will maintain social distancing guidelines within the gym when possible.

  4. All members are strongly encouraged to use the digital no-touch thermometer and use hand sanitizer upon entry of the gym.

  5. Do not come to class if you or anyone in your family or household has been sick or has had any potential symptoms.

  6. If you or anyone in your family or household has been in contact with anyone that has since been diagnosed with COVID-19, please do not come to class.

  7. Spectators/guests are only allowed for our Krav Kids or Intro Classes only.

  8. All instructors and students must follow basic hygiene guidelines prior to coming to each class, including washing your hands, wearing clean clothes to train in, and using hand sanitizer prior to entering class.

We can not perfectly monitor social distancing during martial arts training. Student participation in class means you are accepting the risk of potential proximity to other students, staff, and parents in the studio.
