1 in 3 Utah women will experience sexual violence in their lifetime and we know that many more survivors are not counted and unknown. Unified Krav Maga is dedicated to help end violence against women and support those who have experienced violence to heal. Join us in observance of national Sexual Assault Awareness Month for this hands on and active workshop as we support each other in building our inner fighter, foster a sense of confidence and empowerment, discuss awareness, and practice basic striking and self-defense. All of this in a fun, ego-free and supportive environment!
Attendee Checklist. Please note specific COVID-19 requirements (subject to change):
- Bring a face covering/mask.*
- If you are sick or have been exposed to COVID-19, please stay home.
- Wear comfortable clothes for training. Indoor shoes or bare feet only on the mats.
- Bring a water bottle.
*Face coverings/masks are no longer required while training but we highly encourage all students to wear a mask when entering/exiting the facility and when not actively training. Students who would like to wear a mask at all times are 100% encouraged and supported to do so.
We know that anyone who has experienced violence is NEVER to blame or at fault and that knowing self-defense does not indicate that someone could have defended themselves in the past. This workshop and how we train, is all about cultivating our inner fighter through an empowerment approach as we support each other. 100% of all ticket proceeds and donations will be given to organizations that support victims and survivors of sexual violence and trauma.
