How often have you watched the movie characters not know how to defend themeselves from their attackers and thought there should have been something they could have done? What would I do? Well, UKM is excited to offer our newest feature - Krav Maga Cinema! Join us to learn how to build that inner fighter and be better at defending the chokes and attacks the characters didn't know how to defend. Taught by instructor, and Media Arts major, Jess Barley. All abilities and skill level are encouraged to attend. Bring a date, friend, family or come solo and learn real-world self-defense training AND have a fun movie night!

This month's feature is Charade (1963).  After Regina Lampert (Audrey Hepburn) falls for the dashing Peter Joshua (Cary Grant) on a skiing holiday in the French Alps, she discovers upon her return to Paris that her husband has been murdered. Soon, she and Peter are giving chase to three of her late husband's World War II cronies, Tex (James Coburn), Scobie (George Kennedy) and Gideon (Ned Glass), who are after a quarter of a million dollars the quartet stole while behind enemy lines. But why does Peter keep changing his name? Come learn the defenses the characters didn't know, so you can watch this movie (and walk down the street) a little more confidently. 

6:30 PM: Krav Maga intro for those with no training experience. Includes  basic overview of Krav Maga, striking, movement and fight mentality

7:00 PM: Learn the defenses the characters should have used to stay safe!

8:30 PM: Movie time

Popcorn provided. Wear comfortable clothing and bring your own blankets for the film.
