UKM is set for an amazing weekend of Krav Maga training, workouts, and continuing education on the science of violence and self-defense.  Any one of these seminars by themselves is worth the price of admission, but you get four different sessions plus world-class workouts for the price of ONE with some of the top instructors around.

About the Instructors

Joseph Gleed

Joseph opened the first Krav Maga school in Utah over 20 years ago and is the owner and chief instructor of Unified Krav Maga. He is an expert instructor(3rd Degree Black Belt, received in Israel) that was certified out of the Wingate Institute in Netanya, Israel. He specializes as a force-on-force trainer for military and law enforcement, undercover operators, trainer of trainers and was awarded the Utah Tactical Officers Association Partner of the year. He works closely with Operation Underground Railroad and Child Liberation Fund to conduct undercover operations to rescue children from sex trafficking internationally. He holds the rank of Kru in Muay Thai, Brown Belt in Gracie in Jiu-Jitsu, Bas Rutten MMA instructor, CrossFit certified instructor as well as black belts in various other arts. He also serves as a mental health therapist (CSW) with a specific emphasis with supporting survivors of violent trauma. 

Bruce Champagne

Bruce is THE expert on use-of-force analysis and is a certified Force Science Analyst and In-Custody Death Investigator, board-certified crime analyst and behavioral profiler, and provides consultation in civilian acts of self-defense, and presentations and training internationally. As a law enforcement officer, he completed assignments as a gang investigator, police evidence diver, major crimes detective, SWAT leader and member, firearms/defensive tactics instructor, and is a previous president of the Utah Tactical Officers Association, Utah Gang Investigators Association, Utah Forensic Divers Association, and the Utah Peace Officers Association.

He is a member of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA), International Association of Forensic Criminologists, International Homicide Investigator's Association, Society for Integrity in Force Investigation and Reporting, Association of Force Investigators, National Tactical Officers Association, and a certified instructor in firearms, batons, aerosols, arrest control, various defensive tactics systems, S.P.E.A.R., and a Krav Maga and Krav Maga FORCE instructor.

Dayne Aristizabal

Dayne is a two stripe black belt under Pedro Sauer, head coach, and owner of Agema Jiu Jitsue and MMA. He has been teaching Martial Arts for nearly two decades. After training in traditional martial arts as a child Dayne met professor Pedro Sauer and was introduced to Brazilian jiu jitsu at the age of 14. Dedicating himself the the practice and training multiple times a day he would earn his black belt in 2012 after nearly 11 years of full-time practice under professor Sauer. Dayne competed professionally in Mixed Martial Arts and was the head instructor at the world-famous Pit martial arts in Arroyo Grande CA under Coach John Hackleman. Dayne lived on the Pit compound and trained under coach Hackleman daily. Dayne is currently still competing in Jiu Jitsu and teaches arrest control to law enforcement. 

Jared Wihongi

Jared is internationally recognized as an authority in the area of Close-Quarters Combat Instructor (CQC). His specialization is the integration of firearms, impact weapons, edged weapons and empty-hand combat with heavy emphasis on police, military and self-defense application. He has 20 years of experience working as an Operator on three USA SWAT Teams, which has heavily influenced his approach to teaching and applying close-combat tactics. Jared has taught CQC tactics to police and military Special Operations personnel and civilian martial artists across North & South America, Western & Eastern Europe, East & Southeast Asia, Australasia and the Middle East. Jared has over 34 years of training in various striking, grappling and weapon based martial arts from around the world, and is one of only a handful of people globally who hold the advanced rank of ‘Tuhon’ in the Filipino combat art of Pekiti-Tirsia Kali. He is widely recognized as one of the world’s foremost authorities on the modern tactical application of the combat art of Kali.
